About Play Date

 A Post-Racial Family Drama

Mrs. Ladipo and her 6 year old daughter Abiola are a Nigerian family living in upper middle class white suburbia. One day Caroline, a 5 year old white girl, comes over for a playdate. But Caroline's naive media consumption under a laissez-faire mother soon brings playtime to a shocking ending.

This short film explores parenting in an increasingly diverse yet "post-racial" society, and how one black family is ambushed by the dark history of the USA.
